A big thank you to all who donated, volunteered, organized, and attended this wonderfully successful event for Scott Hannah, president of the North Branch Hockey Association. Scott was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer in August 2013 and it has taken a huge toll, physically and financially, on his family. A benefit was held Feb. 9 at Stars & Strikes in Wyoming to help the family with medical and day-to-day expenses.

Although we are a small association, NBAHA and the entire North Branch community showed support and what monumental accomplishments can be done through support and teamwork. The place was packed!

Scott works for Slumberland Furniture at the corporate office and is president of the North Branch Hockey Association. He is a supportive husband to his wife Julie, who also works for Slumberland, and a father to his fun-loving children Brandon (11), Meghan (6), and Ryan (3).
