The secretary's responsibilities include:
- Taking membership, board and other special meeting minutes
- Maintaining all records of business transacted
- Maintaining a file of all correspondence
- Booking the meeting room for all membership/board meeting as well as committee meetings and special events
- Responding to board emails as appropriate or forwarding to correct board member
- Checking voice mail and responding to calls as appropriate or forwarding to correct board member
- Posting minutes on the website
- Backup for website updates
- Backup for email blasts and calling posts
- Authorized co-signer on all checks in the absence of the President or Vice President
