Changes for 2011 - 2012 Season - Clinics posted online 9/18 at 4 pm

Coaches,

If you are planning to coach this year, USA hockey has made a number of changes to the coaching certification policy this year.  Basically all coaching certificates are now expired.  Everyone needs to attend a certification class if they plan to coach this coming year.   Here are a couple of examples that will hopefully help you determine what you need to take to coach this year.  If you currently hold a level 1 certification you should take level 2 certification this fall.  If you currently hold a level 2 certification you should take level 3 certification this fall. If you are a new coach you need to take Level 1 certification.  As well, you will need to take an online age appropriate module for each age level you will be coaching this year.  Coaching certifications do not dictate the level that someone can coach any longer.  Someone can coach a bantam team this year with a level 1 as long as they have completed the age appropriate module.

THE FOLLOWING DISTRICT 10 CLINICS WILL GO ON-LINE at http://usahockey.com/ on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH AT 4:00 PM.  All coaches should be near a computer and ready to go on-line at that time.  There are only 50 available spots for coaches - NO walk-ups will be accepted.

Clinic- Level 1, September 24th, hosted by Blaine at Fogerty Arena

Clinic- Level 1, September 25th, hosted by Spring Lake Park at Forgerty Arena

Any head and assistant coaches selected for mite and traveling teams can submit receipts for training to treasurer@northbranchhockey.com in order to be reimbursed.

Please click here to visit the usahockey.com Coaching Certification page where you can find additional information on the Coaching Certification requirements. This is also where you will start when you are ready to locate a coaching clinic and begin the online age-specific module.
