September 2026: Mites - Learn to Skate, Pre Skate, HEP Evaluation
Mitey Vikings & Mite Hockey
The Mitey Vikings program is designed for players who are new to hockey and continuing to build their skating and basic hockey skills in a fun, supportive environment. Mite Hockey introduces players to team concepts, game play, and skill development while emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love of the game. As we begin preparations for the 2026-2027 season, families are encouraged to review the upcoming Learn to Skate and Pre-Skate schedules to help players get back on the ice and ready for the season ahead. Additional information regarding the Mite HEP evaluation schedule will be announced soon. Any questions please reach out to the Mite Director.
For the 2026-2027 season, NBAHA will continue to use the Hockey Education Program (HEP) evaluation process for Mite players to help ensure balanced teams and a positive development experience for all participants.
Learn to Skates - Open to all new and returning Mite players. All skaters need to wear a helmet (bike helmet will work). No sticks or pucks. NBAHA coaches will be on the ice assisting.
Pre Skate - Open to returning Mite players to prepare for the upcoming HEP evaluations
